I have seen several Tuba Christmas concerts and other Tuba events and have enjoyed all of them. The Santas playing tubas in Christmas concerts are the most enjoyable.

I have an old E flat helicon and if I get a chance, I'll join a Tuba Christmas group.

My goal is to never go to Tuba Christmas with the same horn! So far, I've gone with a King 4valve raincatcher, a Conn Eb helicon, an ophicleide, and a Lehnert toilet seat tuba. This year I plan to go with a Frank Eb raincatcher. Next year. . . who knows!

Steve, could you possibly give us some more information on the Madison (Wisconsin) Tuba Christmas.

Is it a one time event? is it open to everyone? is there a level of proficiency requirement?
